HYDRONIX ICF CALCITE SERIES FILTERS utilize a naturally occurring calcium carbonate media that has self-limiting properties. When properly applied, Hydronix ICF-CAL10Q inline filters correct the pH in water only enough to reach a non-corrosive equilibrium. It does not overcorrect under normal conditions. Hydronix ICF-CAL10Q process water so that upon contact with the specially processed calcite media, acidic waters (i.e. Reverse Osmosis) slowly dissolves the calcium carbonate to raise the pH.
